Located in North York, Ultrasound North York is part of a large diagnostic imaging group and offers state of the art services for all your medical imaging needs. We provide a full range of diagnostic imaging, including X-Ray, Mammography, Ultrasound and BMD (Bone Mineral Density) testing.
Using the latest equipment, our friendly and experienced staff offer an array of services for your convenience. The centre is staffed by two staff radiologists and a team of experienced X-ray, ultrasound, and bone density technologists.
Low-Radiation X-Rays
We use the latest equipment to perform detailed, low-dose X-rays of the human body. These images are invaluable for assessing the health of organs and tissue, as well as identifying abnormalities such as tumors or cysts.
Sonohysterography
We also have a highly sophisticated device which provides 3D images of the uterus and fallopian tubes. This is a clinically important procedure that will help your doctor to better assess your fertility status and uterine health.
Automated Breast Ultrasound
We are the first dedicated imaging clinic in Ontario to offer this state of the art technology. This is a high frequency sound wave machine that creates 3D images of the whole breast and ensures the test is performed in a reproducible fashion.
The most important thing to know about this test is that it is safe for all patients and is the best way to detect early signs of breast cancer, even in women with no symptoms.
Getting the right image for the correct diagnosis
The process of interpreting your medical imaging is more complex than you might think and requires expert knowledge, attention to detail and skillful interaction with the radiologists and other healthcare professionals involved. For this reason, it is recommended to see a radiologist for an expert opinion and a report with all the relevant details of your test.
